Student Project - Creative Ecologies 'In her shoes' is a New Zealand based online second-hand clothing store. It strives to make donating used clothing easy and accessible to the public. As well as developing a website, I created a social media following on instagram to promote the culture of thrifting. My vision was for young people to value their clothing as more than disposable pieces. They will now have tools and the knowledge to buy, care for and dispose of clothing in a sustainable manner. These consumers will in turn become more swayed by the promoted ethical and sustainable qualities of their potential clothing purchases, than low prices. With the success of my long-term goal, my ultimate goal was to end fast fashion so that the fashion industry will have less of a negative impact on the planet.
